Army Winter Sports Association enables soldiers to develop military and technical skills on snow and ice - Alpine, Bobsleigh, Cresta, Luge, Nordic, Skeleton, Snowboard and Telemark.
The Combined Services Winter Sports Association (CSWSA) exists to promote excellence in winter sports within Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, through the provision of annual all ranks competitions organised in a manner which affords prestige to those competing and enables subsequent entry into national and international competitions for the most talented. These sporting opportunities enhance self-discipline, courage and physical fitness; they provide vital recuperation and focus beyond the operational commitments of service personnel. Historically a significant number of servicemen and women have represented Great Britain in winter sports disciplines.
